IMPACT OF MICROSOFT IN MY LIFE AND HOW I PLAN TO BRING A CHANGE TO THE SOCIETY AS AN MSA

Now I don't know how to start but I can take you down my class 1 memory when I attended my first computer lab class...knowing nothing at that moment,...I can recollect only a few pictures which remain fresh still in my mind and that is i am just moving the cursor and getting a zig zag line.....correct i was painting a vague picture in MS-PAINT. That I can say was my first acquaintance with microsoft product.
However, times have changed and so has the technology, leaping ahead by miles. Today Microsoft stands for not just the “Windows” platform for computers, but for smartphones, an entire virtual store to buy apps- the Windows Store which is not just accessible from smartphones and tablets, but also from our computer, thanks to the commonWindows Platform available for both the devices; redefining the use of computers for the common man altogether! Yes, the common man in particular, for not everyone can afford a Macintosh wherein the concept of an appstore was introduced much earlier. Such was the impact of this welcoming change in the Windows platform, that Apple had to declare its Mavericks OS FREE of cost to stand up to the competition.
These are few fields in which microsoft is excelling in a rapid pace.
Microsoft’s Skype feature has helped me connect with all my friends and relatives through video calling.
It has provided us mailing service like Hotmail which stands apart from all other mailing services.
I am looking forward to its Developing tools in near future. I am using One Drive which is a revolutionary product in the field of cloud and handling very large files. It’s easy to use and keeps my data safe and I can access it from any of my device .
Microsoft through its online resources has had a far greater impact on my technical knowledge. Microsoft Virtual Academy has provided me with courses on latest trends and platforms that helped me acquire my skills in them.
Microsoft recently has bought NOKIA and launched LUMIA products, a great step towards developing its virtue in mobile field .
In nutshell, Microsoft doesn't leave any stone unturned to turn over a new leaf.
A few years ago, the STOCK
of small offline games that I had for time-pass would consist of the pre-installed solitaire, pinball and minesweeper only. However, an upgrade to Windows 8 gave me a plethora of ever increasing free games to download for my stock; such as Pinball FX, Bubble Blaster, an all new Solitaire with improved graphics and gameplay, thanks to the Windows Store app development tools and tutorials provided by Microsoft! Such improvements make me feel all my past experiences of Windows platform were simply mundane. Working on Windows is so much fun now!
Further, how can I forget to mention the great “MS Office” ! This conglomeration of different Microsoft softwares will forever find a space reserved on the hard disk of any computer, no matter whether it belongs to a student, engineer, scientist, doctor, journalist, manager, or even a shopkeeper! I’ve been using MS-Word for documentation work, MS-Powerpoint for giving presentations, MS-Excel to keep directories and lists, MS-Publisher as a part of the editorial board of my school’s magazine called Creations. Even in my first Macbook, I made sure toinstall MS-Office for OSX, for Keynote, Pages or Number couldn’t replace Power-point, Word, and Excel respectively.
Microsoft has made available numerous free tutorials and tools for developing different kinds of applications for its Windows platform, and testing the apps is all the more easier, as compared to Apple, where u will feel the need to own a real iPhone or Mac at some point in the journey of app development. At first I thought instead of enrolling into the Mac/IOS App Developer program to get tutorials, I’d rather learn the skills through youtube tutorial videos and ebooks. However, my plans got stumped when I found that let alone publishing on the Appstore, but even to TEST my application on my Mac or iPhone, I had to make the payment of 99$ to Apple, which I was thinking I could escape.At this very point, the Windows platform came to my rescue. I not only got access to official tutorials, but testing and publishing was so easy,without paying anything!
Currently I am working in DRDO in DTRL lab as a trainee .Its been a month now,although my project is on Neural Networking but microsoft office products have their own important space over there.Here we are given satelite images which are to be modified sometimes or highlighted using MS PAINT .
So I got one thing crystal clear that microsoft has got an immense impact on our lives by dealing with many aspects which would have been next to impossible without it.
Becoming a Microsoft Student Associate provides me with a chance to do something for the brand that has helped me through most of my student life. It would be an honour to be associated with the “People’s Company”.
Now moving on to how to bring change to society I can start this great task by making all my friends who are close to me aware of microsoft and its products ,especially those who lack an adequate financial support from their families.
The same promotion I will take up in the IEEE group of my college so that my college friends can also take up this matter seriously.Since I have a good rapo and share a very warm relation with my juniours and seniors ,I can easily involve them in helping me conduct workshops on microsoft products in our college as well as outside it.
Not only that I completed my schooling from DON BOSCO SCHOOL,Alaknanda,New Delhi.In our school we have a society which takes care of afternoon lunch and study for under priviledged students. The society is named as ANKUR SCHOOL.In my school days I served a lot in this society by teaching these innocent students.Same I continue till date whenever I am free.I will conduct special workshop on microsoft products for these students,not only that I can also conduct presentations for students of all classes in my school regarding the same matter.
Thus contributing in empowering not just the industry but also the various strata of academic ecosystem by constantly playing a role of an EVANGELIST in the community.
